Tree Blocking Sign

Just a friendly commercial landscaping reminder to ensure your trees, plants and bushes do not interfere with your business or city signage. Vegetation control is an important landscaping aspect of property safety, curb appeal and preservation.

Overgrowth can be a danger for your customers, pedestrians, traffic, and can lead to fines ($150-$500 in the City of Seattle). It also makes a property seem unkempt, and can give prospective customer a bad impression.

Proper vegetation control at your commercial property can:

  • Keep signs visible to drivers and reduce the risk of an accident
  • Keep vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians visible to drivers (and vice versa)
  • Keep sidewalks and pedestrian paths clear and free from overhanging vegetation that can be potential hazards
  • Aid in keeping drainage systems clear and functioning as designed
  • Control noxious weeds in accordance with local laws and ordinances
  • Reduce risk of falling tree limbs due to overgrowth
  • Make it more difficult for pests to settle on a property
  • Reduce spots for homeless or transients to hide

If your commercial landscaping service offers a quality control program the management should be able to catch any overgrowth before it becomes an issue.

That being said, remember to keep your bushes trimmed, weeds pulled, and signs clear.
