Tree falls on house

Timber!

Leaves are not the only thing falling in the fall/winter season. With the intense weather–Heavy Rain; Strong Winds; Snow; etc.—we’ve seen in the past couple of months, we’ve also seen an increase in emergency requests to remove fallen trees.

If there’s a storm, and you can’t stop staring at a tree because it’s leaning towards your property and getting closer after each gust of wind…it might be time to remove it.

Below are some tips of what to look for when thinking about removing a tree:

  • The Tree is dead – this may be the most obvious reason. If it’s already dead, it’s only a matter of time before it goes down.
  • Leaning— as mentioned before, if a tree is too close to your house, garage, utility lines, etc. and leans closer day-to-day, it should be removed.
  • Damaged—if the tree has already been damaged (perhaps by a storm), it may not be standing after the next one.
  • The Tree is Just a Plain Hassel—falling branches, pine needles or cones invading your property, etc.

These are very obvious tips, it’s just a matter of deciding whether to remove the tree before Mother Nature does it for you.

Happy Holidays!
